Vegetable garden accessories are not just spades, soil, and seeds. Some more unusual supplies needed include deer repellent, jute twine, tomato towers, and soil pH testers.

Jute and tomato towers will help your tomatoes grow to their fullest. As the plant vines begin to grow, place a tower over each plant. Secure the vines to the tower using the jute for a nice, orderly tomato plant.

As humans encroach more and more onto deer migration areas, deer repellent is more and more useful as garden supplies. Not Tonight Deer is an example of an environmentally friendly product that will not harm the deer or your garden.

Soil pH testers can be the garden supplies you won’t know how you lived without. By knowing your soil’s acidity and alkalinity levels before planting, you can better match your plants to the soil you have, or learn how to amend your soil to better accommodate what you wish to grow.
